The basics

What does a domicile service do?

Domicile service and domicile address in Switzerland – explained clearly.

A domicile service provides your company with a domicile address – also called a business address, company address or company domicile: an official address where your company holds its statutory seat without renting its own office there. At domizilservice24 you receive this address today in Baar, Canton Zug; a location in the city of Zurich is in preparation. The address can be entered as a seat in the commercial register – with or without a c/o note.

We receive your incoming mail and forward it. A domicile address is entirely legal in Switzerland: every company needs a legal domicile, and it may be located at a third party's address. What matters is lawful use – we review every mandate before we issue the contract.

Depending on the variant we issue the appropriate contract: with a c/o note a domicile contract including a domicile acceptance declaration, without a c/o note a sublease contract with a right of shared use of the premises – exactly as the Canton Zug commercial registry requires for an own legal domicile.

Decision guide

What is the difference between with and without c/o note?

Both variants can be entered in full as your company's statutory seat in the commercial register. The difference lies in the visible c/o note – and whether you can co-use the premises on site.

Without c/o note

recommended
Example Ltd
Blegistrasse 9
6340 Baar

Only your company appears at the address – no visible reference to a domicile service. The basis is a sublease with a right of shared use of the premises.

  • ✓Address with no visible domicile reference – bank- and KYC-ready
  • ✓Your own letterbox nameplate with your company name
  • ✓Right of shared use of the premises: co-working, a fixed desk and meeting rooms bookable on site
  • ✓Ideal for established companies with a standalone presence

With c/o note

from CHF 39.–/mo (paid yearly)
Example Ltd
c/o Tradebonus GmbH
Blegistrasse 9
6340 Baar

Your address carries a visible addition “c/o Tradebonus GmbH”. Serious, discreet and fully registrable in the commercial register – the lean entry.

  • ✓The most affordable entry, fully registrable in the commercial register
  • ✓Domicile acceptance declaration for the register included
  • ✓Ideal for startups, freelancers and sole proprietors

From CHF 39.–/month with yearly payment (CHF 59.– if paid monthly), excl. VAT.

How to combine your domicile address with co-working, a desk and a meeting room on site is shown in the guide “Using Co-Working in Baar Alongside Your Business Address”. Co-working and a desk require the variant without a c/o note.

FAQ

FAQ about our domicile service

What is a domicile address? +

A domicile address (also a company address) is an official business address where your company is domiciled without renting your own office there. At domizilservice24 you get a business address in Baar (Zug) that can be entered as your company's statutory seat (legal domicile) in the commercial register – with or without a c/o note, ideal for founders, SMEs and international entrepreneurs without their own office. A further location in the city of Zurich is in preparation.

What is the difference between with and without c/o note? +

With c/o note your address shows an addition such as “c/o Tradebonus GmbH” – the discreet entry. Without c/o note the address looks like your own location, with no visible reference to a domicile service.

How quickly can I use my address? +

After payment we review your details and send you the contracts by e-mail within 24 hours. You sign both copies by hand and return them to us by post; once we have counter-signed, the address is active. Allow a few working days for the postal route in both directions, depending on where you are, and note that the contract start date can be set to either the 1st or the 16th of a month.

Can the address be entered in the commercial register? +

Yes. The address can be entered in the commercial register as your company's statutory seat (legal domicile). If a company has no own premises at its seat, commercial-register law requires a domicile acceptance declaration from the domicile holder for a c/o address (Art. 117 para. 3 Commercial Register Ordinance) – we issue it once the domicile contract has been signed. Without a c/o note, we grant you a right of shared use of the premises by way of a sublease; your company thereby holds its own legal title to the address and is entered without a c/o note.

What is the domicile acceptance declaration? +

It is the declaration with which we confirm to the commercial register that your company may be domiciled at our address. For an address with a c/o note it is included: you receive the domicile contract within 24 hours and the declaration once the contract has been signed.

Show 1 more question
Is mail forwarding included? +

Yes, one physical forwarding per week (A-Post) is included; postage is charged separately. More frequent or digital forwarding can be added.
